Before I became a care giver I had years or experience dealing with healthcare issue in an administrative capacity as well as navigating the system to find appropriate care for my own parents. I loved finding solutions and dealing with issues which would help loved ones improve the quality of life for their family member. These experiences lead me to want to provide hands on care/companionship for those needing more assistance than their families could provide. I've worked privately for families, and through agencies, with my main goal being to enhance quality of life. My clients have all been in the later third of life, most having some form of dementia often with no family close enough to visit on a regular basis. When I worked on my own, it was easier to participate in more actives with client, such as spending holidays together. One year in particular my client and I bought her Christmas tree and other live decorations from the local garden club. We decorated the house beautifully, and prepared together a wonderful Christmas dinner. My family and I including our three dogs, spent the whole day with the client. We all thought it was the best Christmas ever, except poor "Kitty", who was not to thrilled with the canine guests. We took lots of pictures and sent to the client's daughters who lived out of state. They were so pleased to see how happy and relaxed their mother was.

I can do medicine, Apply CPI and first Aide. I've been doing that job for 3 years I love it because that my passion to work with people with disabilities
