I am a 41 year old African American and have been a caregiver for the past 7 years. I have always loved to be a caregiver as I love to chat to the elderly and ensure that their needs are met at all times. I am an easy going, fun loving, hard working person and I love meeting people from all walks of life. One of the highlights of my job was being awarded as the best caregiver for the year 2016 by my current employer.

I'm working as Caretaker for elderly people. They says m lively person . My presence make them more lively happy and fun loving person. I bring life in to there life . That makes me more confident about what I do best for caring for elderly people.

I feel privileged providing care and comfort to the elderly. I am a Certified Home Health Aid. It's a blessing! I started caring for my grand mother who had Diabetes and i realized i needed to enter the medical field. It's heart fulfilling offering your services and seeing smiles on their faces. 7 year experience with Diabetes,Alzheimer's,Orthopedic Care, and Bedridden Client. Assisting with toileting,dressing,grooming, reminders of medication,sharing stories,listen to music,light housekeeping,laundry,taking walks.

I became a caregiver because I take pride in providing aide to the sick and elderly... I enjoy putting a smile on the elderly's face.. and knowing that I can make a difference. I am most proud of my children. I am a strong, hardworking, caring individual who enjoys taking care of others. Being a great help to others in any capacity brings me joy

I became a Caregiver because I took care of my late father when he was sick till he passed away.Since then, I start taking care of the elders with compassion and respect and I feel happy when I make someone feel comfortable when he/she feels alone.I am very proud of myself in doing this job because every family that I worked with wants me to stay with them as long as their love ones needed my care. Throughout my life, I have held many positions that placed another's well-being in my hands. And I love it! I am a mother of three children, I have taught Sunday schools, classes for children with special needs, and have even taken others into my home for long periods of time. Additionally, I have been taking care of my elderly sister for the past 10 years. Particularly, it has been the time spent with my children and my sister that has helped me realize that being a caretaker is my calling. For me, true joy is making someone smile, hearing them laugh, and seeing the gratitude in their eyes when they look at me. It's the greatest reward that I can receive, and it's the reason why I care not just with my head but with my heart. To be cared for takes bravery, it means being fully vulnerable with your caretaker and in my experience, it's when people are like that that you can best connect with them. Some of my strongest relationships have been with those who allowed me to care for them, and it's those connections, those conversations in truth and openness, that have enriched my life and changed me for the better. I became a caregiver because I love to take care of other people's well being, what I like about being a caregiver is that I can feel a sense of fulfillment every time I know that the needs of an individual is met and that she is satisfied with the way I took care of that person. I am proud to say that even up to now my previous employers are still calling me and I am friends with their families until now and we have an open communication isn't it great?I worked as a caregiver for two years now and I LOVE what I am doing.
