I became a caregiver to give the elderly a better way of life, and because I love to assist others with daily living things. I love that doing the simple thing can make an older persons day. I like having people depend on me. A personal achievement is me becoming a cna and currently wanting to enroll to go farther and become a RN. Also having two children and raising them, while doing all this. I am a type of person that is willing to do whatever it takes to make the elderly happy as long as its reachable. I am a hard work, I am never late or call in unless it deals with my children which is rare because my mother helps me with raising them. I take up extra hours, I am very flexible and work weekends. I am also a team player, and am open to anything.

I became a caregiver because I love helping people. I love seeing the smiles on the faces of my residents every day when they know there is someone there who is going to truly care for them no matter what. I am a care giver on a Neuro behavioral Unit which can be very challenging at times but something I love about being a caregiver is being able to be there for people who need me. Knowing that I am caring for someone who might not be able to do things without me and teaching them how to do daily activities on their own is the best. A personal achievement I am proud of is rescuing my dog that I have. He was terribly neglected to the point where he was starved and had mange and I was able to help him get better and make him know he will never be treated that way again. I am planning on going to be a registered nurse eventually but for right now I am content being a CNA. Iwouldnt be happier doing anything else in my life right now.

I choose to be come a caregiver because of my grandma, watching her slowly struggle and get worse she needed aids and help herself. The way she talked about how much of a difference a good caregiver really was made me realize that I could do that and make a difference as well. I also knew what kind o wanted to be. I love the fact that you can brighten someone's day by just showing up helping and encourage them to keep doing things and being as independent as they can. My best achievement would probably me working hard and receiving my cna before even graduating high school. I am a person who will go out of my way to help others and do what what is needed without being asked, especially when it comes to safety.
