I am honest, punctual and high responsibility. I am happy working with elderly, individuals and want to see them get a better care or be able to live happily with excellent care and assistance. I have trained to work with Traumatic Brain Injury individuals and prepare food in different types of consistency. My background was excellent working with victims of human trafficking, child abuse and domestic violence. I like to do the meditation that makes me steady and calm. Therefore, you can ensure that I have a very good heart working with your family members like they are my family. The individuals who I'm working with said that I'm the right person for this job. I said thank you to them and replied them that I'm the right person for all the jobs because I do care and respect everyone equally. Moreover I know what I'm doing and I want to do my job professionally.
I love working with people, especially those that need a bit of extra help throughout their days. It is incredibly humbling to serve people in such basic ways, and makes me appreciate everything I have been given in life. Having had experience already in this field at YAI, I've developed a lot of patience and compassion to put the needs of whoever I serve before myself. I am most proud of the way I handled my last experience there as a direct support professional. There I was responsible for two individuals each day, who could not communicate using words and thus didn't have much say in their lives. Every single day, I really tried to enrich their lives by adding an activity or teaching a new skill that would help them feel active and involved in their lives.
I'm passionate about elderly care because I love to care for people and I have a desire to help others. I have worked in the health care field in private homes and health care agencies. I was a live-in 24/7 caregiver. I did have time off but still as a live-in one has to be compassionate and help someone even on days off. I go above and beyond to make my clients comfortable and happy. I can do live-in, 12 hours full-time or part time. I prefer cash payment weekly.
