I believe I am a kind, gentle, patient and compassionate caregiver. I've been taking care of my mother since I was four years old until she passed away in August of 2018. I am now taking care of my father who is suffering from Parkinson's Disease. I hope to become a nurse in the future but for now I would love to do what I am truly gifted at and that is taking care of others in need. I know that being a caretaker comes naturally to me. It brings me such joy being able to give others my assistance and comfort. I am proud of the time, love, support and dedication I gave to my mother. She was battling so many diseases and infections and it brought me inner peace knowing I was able to comfort her during those difficult times so she could relax and let her body heal. I can't think of anything else I would want to do with my life than to comfort and aid those who are in need of care.

I always wanted to be a nurse since I was a little girl. I love helping people and making them comfortable and happy. I love being a caregiver caring for people is my passion, I feel amazing knowing I'm helping make my patients feel better. The one personal achievement is purchasing a home with my husband three years ago to raise our three boys. Qualities that make me a good caregiver are having empathy respect, and being tactful. I chose to be a caregiver because i appreciated the care that was given to a family member of mine. I loved how pleasant the workers were and how much they made my family smile..instantly i knew i wanted to bring that same joy to other families that needed help. I, on the other hand, have seen such difference in the littlest comment, action, remembering something VERY little, and how much it changes patients outlook, maybe for day, week, next 5 mins., anything makes a difference in other words. So throwing $$ out the window, my joy and goal in my life 1st this point is to make people nearing the end of their lives or who just need care 24/7 and are COMPLETELY with it and extremely intelligent. My patients have met presidents, won Nobel Peace Prizes, some some INCREDIBLE life achievements that blow me away. It is an HONOR and PLEASURE to work with these fabulous patients and listen to their stories. Granted, they forget who I am the minute I turn the corner, but for the hour the patient remembered memories obviously not wanted to be forgotten, I MATTERED to that person, and if it helps them become more at ease, I will do this for the test of my living life. I will not have anyone when I am old and nearing my end, so even a stranger makes a HUGE difference and is like to be that difference for those people right now. There has got to be another reason I am STILL on earth, maybe this may be why. I get VERY attached though and honestly care about making life better for people who have been forgotten, not only by family but our SOCIETY. I have a lot of respect and compassion for all patients being able to gain their trust, and My desire to give full personal care and support needed. I like that I have the opportunity to do what I do best which is to make the patient comfortable, clean, meals, medication if needed, and that the family member have peace of mine by allowing me to care for their family. I retired after 20 yrs in another profession, I am all about family and I am very reliable individual.
