Hi! My name is Robert and I have been a State Tested Nursing Assistant for over 5 years. I have cared for hundreds (or maybe over 1000) senior citizens requiring skilled, long-term, memory, and non medical care. I find great passion in being a caregiver because it allows me to help others when they are in need. I earned my certification through a nationally recognized vocational school in which I took two years of academics at. What I enjoy most about being a care-giver is the ability to make a difference in someone's life for a positive impact. I always strive to go above and beyond and I treat my clients as if they were one of my parents. I have always been very sincere about the care that I give and very optimistic for my clients. I am always looking to help more people that are in need!

I've been a caregiver for 20 years going strong! I started off as a Resident Helper passing water and linens. I loved coming in everyday and simply talking with residents because many seemed relatable, just like family to me. I was eventually provided the opportunity to take classes to become a state certified STNA. I had great appreciation for this opportunity and I knew I would allow me the chance to do what I love and, actually "provide quality care" . I found my initial true calling through family first and it made me realize what compassion, support and commitment really means. Those words do not mean simply show up and do the minimum for a paycheck. No job is easy if you really do the work, I feel a sense of purpose, meaning and pride in what you do because I care and I know the industry. I I love seeing my clients/residents smile when I arrive, I pride myself on it because it matters to me how they feel and how they are treated. I may need someone to care for me at some point in my life, if so I hope I get someone who understands that it takes a person who really cares. If you REALLY love what you do it's not a job it's a blessing!

I decided to become a State Tested Nursing Assistant in 2005. I thoroughly enjoy assisting people in any personal care or household tasks they need to have completed, as I have a heart to serve. I am a mother of 3, who has worked in nursing homes, private home health, psychiatric units and currently run a group home for individuals with developmental disabilities. I am currently in school working on a Bachelor of Science degree on the Pre-Physician Assistant/ Med track.

I have been a certified STNA since 2005. Mostly in nursing home facilities, but the past 2 years in the home care field. Fell in love helping people at the age of 19, and have never looked into any other field since. One on one care let's me provide the best care possible to my clients and their families. Safety is my number one concern with my clients. I am also CPR and first aid certified.

The reason I would consider myself to be a great caregiver is because I am naturally a nurturer, I feel the need to make everyone comfortable, I go above and beyond to make sure all the things that need to get done are done and that the people that I'm taking care of our happy and feel confident in my care. I guess I became attracted to being a caregiver when my grandfather got sick and he got a stroke I learned all the things that needed to be done towards helping him feel independent. What I enjoy most about caregiving is the give-and-take. I learned so much from the people I meet no matter what the ages and it intern teaches me about myself. A personal achievement that I am proud of is that I read my son to become a fantastic human being and be caring towards others Because he's always watched me do it. Also I am proud of the reputation I have anywhere I've worked. I am always in demand because I am a kind and love what I do.

I have many years of experience in the field .In between jobs I have done private duty as well. I enjoy what i do.
