My name is Herbeta Charley, I am a Medical Aide licensed by Dodd. I've been caring for people since I can remember from children, friends, etc all the way to my first caregiver job at 15. I feel as my welcoming energy and healing soul makes me a good caregiver also I'm someone that likes to put others first before myself even though that's not good all the time but I can't help it. I'm a gengood person so I put out good into the world and for me that's caring for others. I enjoy the time I spend with my clients on top of their stories I hear. Soemtimes everyone needs a listening ear and I don't mind being there for them whether worker or just someone to talk to. I wasn't attracted to being a caregiver but as I entered ex the field I've realized it works Best for me. Thank you.

I'm a compassionate caregiver, friendly, reliable, flexible, patient, and trustworthy, with high sensativity and empathy for others. I love providing help to those who need it, or can't no longer provide for them self, but that's just my giving nature, and my nurturing desire to help those in need, and provide safety and emotional needs to my clients. Something I like about being a caregiver is that I take pride in what I do. I enjoy working and providing care on one on one with someone and developing a relationship with my client, by conversing, and participating in my clients daily activities. I just love making a different in someone's life. I feel proud of myself when my clients say "I'm the best caregiver they ever had."

Helping other is something that I've always desired. For me, it isn't about money, it isn't just a career, it's about making a positive impact on the lives of others. To me, stna is making a difference in people lives that can never pay you back... that's the reward that makes my heart smile. By nature, I've always been understanding, respectful, compassionate, patient and a judgement-free individual. As a former employee at University of Cincinnati Medical Center emergency department, I challenge myself and put my skills to the test. By helping those of different ethnic backgrounds, different walks of life, people with very different personalities and this helps me constantly learn different ways to communicate. On a daily basis, I encountered crime victims, severely injured patients, mentally challenged patients, elders with terminal illnesses, substance abuse patients, and patients at their most vulnerable state etc., and when I walk in their room I am improving on ways to approach patients at their level of comfort. In my early life, I lost one of my sisters from complications of cerebral palsy. A little over 10 years later, I lost my mother to a massive heart attack and soon after my father had hip surgery, he then told me he had diabetes. Each of those moments in my early life, I was forced to come up with a solution to try and help others in any way possible. Obtaining a career in the medical field was the first step for me, medical assisting, stna, phlebotomy and now in Nursing school. I still have a long way to go and so much more to learn but this is where I am now.

I enjoy utilizing my clinical skills that reflects my passion for making a difference in the lives of others providing proficient patient care. I have 9yrs combined point of care skills including long term, rehab, acute care, psych, memory care, and home health, palliative care and hospital setting.

I have worked at an STNA in nursing facilities for the past 4 years. I enjoy helping and caring for different people of all ages.
