I am currently a second semester senior at Salve Regina University in the nursing program. I have been a CNA since I graduated high school almost 4 years ago. I have also had clinical experiences throughout college which has fiurther heightened my passion for being a caregiver. I would describe myself as compassionate and empathetic. I truly enjoy my time with the clients and patients I have spent time with and gotten to know. I have found that seniors/the elderly are a population that I feel particularly drawn to. I feel that I can learn so much from listening and being present with people, especially those who have lived different experiences than me in a different time period. I like connecting with those I care for, but I mostly enjoy helping those who need it. I would love the opportunity to provide care for someone in my last semester of college.

I am a 38-year-old female caregiver and a licensed CNA. I am an experienced senior care provider as well as special needs. My experience includes, bathing/personal hygiene, transfers, using a hoyer lift to transfer to and from wheelchair, companionship, errands, light housekeeping and cooking. For the past 3 years I've worked as a Direct Support Professional in group homes with both the mentally and/or physically disabled clients that have varied degrees of care From a young age I've always been considered the care giver in my family.
