I have always had great compassion for those who are sick, the elderly, and disabled. I began my caregiving by volunteering for Hospice for seven years. CNAs happily taught me how to do bed baths, empty urinals, and even how to change bed linens with patient still in bed. I am comfortable, and have experience in just about all facets of caregiving, which includes personal hygiene, including bathing, feeding, safely transferring patient from bed to chair, etc. I am comfortable using a Hoyer lift, and have changed and sanitized urine bags. Upon moving to a new city I began doing home caregiving as a way of paying my bills, and family recommendations kept me busy. I have enjoyed caring for the ELDERY with all kinds of medical problems, and DISABLED people, as well. In addition to passing the background check required for this site, I have a LEVEL II BACKGROUND CHECK which is far deeper than this site requires. I have taken and passed the HHA test, although I did not take the class. I am CPR certified, have had a two step TB test, I presently work for a local caregiving agency, but they are unable to provide me with enough hours, so I am eager to get full time hours! I have many references I can give if you are interested in knowing more. I prefer days, but I am open for any schedule.

I would describe my personality very timid until i get to know then I'm like a sunflower. Expertise that help me be a great caregiver are my compassionateness and my love for elderly, and my good listening ear. What attracted me to become a caregiver was the bond that you develop when working with different clients and the great stories they tell about their past! I currently work in an assisted living facility as the lead Medication Technician on the memory care unit. I administer medications, give insulin shots, take vitals, and keep narcotics records up to DHEC standards. I have a lot of experience working with Alzheimer's, dementia, traumatic brain injuries, etc. I'm finding that my work is becoming a bit too stressful with school. I'd love to find a job caring for just one or two elderly adults. I enjoy making crafts, cooking healthy meals, and being outdoors. I love gardening and being and being around animals. I also have experience in the activities department.

I've done nursing for over 25 years. Recently lost my son on July 3rd 2020 or cardiac arrest at age 22 and have taken care my mom whom passed with cancer. I've also taken care of my father who passed with alzheimer's . I know I'm here for a reason to share my heart with those who need me not just for them but for our heavenly father .

I have years of experience working with the elderly and disabled population. However more important I have a dedication to this population in ensuring they are maintaining a quality of life. I want to do more than just my 9-5 job but help those caregivers from time to time that are in need of extra help and or a break.

My personality is very easy-going. I enjoy talking with people and getting to know them. I have a lot of experience with clients who were not feeling well, and have helped them through a lot of sickness. Such as sudden on set flus or body aches. These are sudden changes that can't be that fun alone! I enjoy being with people and making them happy.
