Because I took care of my grandparents. I love to help elderly people and do for them like if their my own. And to become a nurse. I'm single with no kids , was certified for 15 years love my Job at tidepointe on Hilton head island. Been with the company for 9 years. Left there in 2017 for emergency. Did private care a client for 3 years. She pass away, then I started working at life care nursing home.

What attracted me to be a caregiver .? I was one of those kids that loved to watch the elderly commercials where they would need help reaching something , I've always wanted to be that person that could help , Bring them joy ... I enjoy being able to see my clients smile , Knowing I'm one of those people they can count on to make smile . My #1 personal achievement as of right now is my first big girl purchase , My first car .

I think of every patient as a family member of mines . Like I wouldn't want this to happen if this was one of my family members.. I work very hard to get my job done . I am responsible and very caring .. and also very respectable

I have compassion for individuals that can't perform task or daily living activities,with the understanding that assistance is what they need to feel they are still in control of there independence,In my opinion, a caregiver job is one of the most important job in the world,I love what I do for a living and that's helping people live again in there on strength.

I can walk, talk, see and hear, but there's someone out there that can do some or most the things I can do anymore. So I make it my best interest to make sure whoever I'm taking care of see the bright side of there disease or disability by bringing love, care, and my attention to there front door step. This is what a loyal and dedicated caregiver do and should do. Finding personal strength and increasing confidence is my job as a caregiver.

I became certified in the late 90's to become more knowledgeable of the care that my quadriplegic father needed. I have worked in hospitals, nursing home and private care settings. I find home care to be the most rewarding. It is easier to care for and assist someone in an environment known to them. I find gratification in helping other, after all, is that not what the Bible instructs us to do.
