A personal achievement that I am proud of is being recognized with a Heart N Hands Award for my service to my elderly clients. I moved from California to Tennessee in 2003. After working in a Distribution Center for almost 2 years, I became a CAREGIVER and have been employed as such for over 10 years. I have an outgoing personality and get along well with others. I have been a private duty caregiver for 5 years. I care for my clients the way I care for my family members. I love being around the elderly and helping them care for themselves. I've cared for Dementia, Alzheimer's, Dialysis, and hospice care clients in Knoxville before relocating to Hendersonville. I was also a substitute teacher in a special needs classroom. I dispatched for Knox County E911 (Knoxville Fire/Police Department) for twenty six years prior to my caregiving career. I'm currently an Assistant in a special needs classroom in sumner county.
Hi, I'm Ella! I am a current nursing student. I will be a senior in the fall of 2018. I have loved caring for people ever since I was little, and it's what got me into nursing! There is nothing I love more than to care for and help people. I have worked with all age groups and have loved every one of them. I have a special place in my heart though for older adult patients and Alzheimer's patients, since I watched my grandma struggle with it for 10 years. I learn so much from being around older patients, and their life lessons always leave me feeling inspired and smiling! I am so thankful I get to take care of people for a job. I feel so blessed!
I became a Caregiver thirteen years ago and I love making a difference in a person's life. I like being a caregiver and getting to know the clients and their families. I am proud of taking care of people and letting them know that they can depend on me. I use to work on a Oncology unit in a Hospital here in Marietta, Ga where I cared for a lot of chronically ill patients. I worked tirelessly making sure they were comfortable and not alone. The six years that I worked at this hospital gave me the experience and skills I needed to be able to care for individuals in their homes. I was born in West Virginia but was raised in Ohio. I moved to Austell Ga in 1986 and eventually moved to Powder Springs In 2011. To me there is nothing more fulfilling than being a caregiver because I am able to give of myself and give the best care that I can.
