Two things that I love and enjoy doing is helping children and the elderly. My grandparents raised me from birth and they were my best friends until they passed. I've learned through raising 3 children and now having grandchildren that life is much more enjoyable by having patience and living every day to the fullest. Knowing that by simply being there and helping someone really adds warmth to my heart.

Being a caregiver is an amazing job, it's the one on one that you get with the clients, being one on one,helps you to actually get to know your clients. I am in school now to become an Registered Nurse,that is something that I've always wanted to do since I was a little girl.

I enjoy being a caregiver is because I'm helping people who can't physically help there self. I've always wanted to help people this why I picked to be a caregiver I'm working with different people helping out around the house or just simply conversation seeing them happy makes me happy as a caregiver.

What had brought me into like being a caregiver was my grandpa. He has dementia and needs lots of help, so helping him out and talking to him and doing things with him has been amazing and is what I wanted to do. During these years I have had the privilege of caring for some outstanding seniors. Some of whom needed minimal care, such as companionship. Just someone to simply be there and be a friend. Which I am always happy to do. I have also cared for seniors who needed much more. My experience with dementia and Alzheimer's is extensive. I understand the importance of safety during such a confusing time in their lives. Throughout my career I have taken every opportunity to learn how to comfort and calm the uncertainty they live with on a daily basis. I can offer activities and exercises to set their mind at ease and give them something positive to focus on. I will gladly help keep things tidy, prepare yummy meals, help with bathing/dressing, ambulation, medication reminders and more and can discuss a care plan that works best for your family.

I never meet a stranger. I love meeting new people and I love helping people and help them with being as independent as possible. I am attracted to being a great caregiver because my grandma was a wonderful person and I loved taking care of her. I enjoy being a caregiver because it is a rewarding career. My personal achievement I am proud of is finishing graduate school with a master's degree in psychology that I can use to help others.

I am a very happy and positive person, i love putting a smile on others faces. I have been working in caregiving for as long as i can remember as alot of my family needed carers.
