My personality traits would be that I'm strong willed, compassionate, listen to instruction, clean and organized. What attracted me to becoming a caregiver would have been my grandfather. He raised me and when he got sick I helped with his care. I enjoy knowing I can help someone. My personal achievement would be finishing school and helping others.

I am a Christian first and foremost with a love for people that surpasses most. I absolutely love people, especially the elderly and have cared for them over 30 years. I am very kind, loyal, dependable, patient and very compassionate. I seek and desire to make someone's life as good as it can be under their circumstances.

Hi y'all, my name is Abby Mathis, I was born and raised in a small town in Texas!! Around the age 11 my great grandmother passed away from Alzheimer's. During the years leading up to her death I knew I wanted to one day be able to help men and women just like her. As I got older my love to help people got greater and once I was old enough I started working in the health care industry. After working as receptionist in a doctors office I decided I would rather be hands on with the patients. I took a 4 week class at Christus St Michaels too because a certified PCT. After finishing that class, I started working at St Michaels and I was over the moon excited to be hands on with the patients! Working hands on with all patients only made my love for helping people grow even greater. My whole life I have always wanted to help others before I do anything for my self and working with the patients in the hospital helped me do just that! One thing about me is that I always treat my patients like they are my family especially because many of my family members have been hospitalized and there have been multiple times my family members were not satisfied with their nurses. A personal achievement I want to continue to make is helping my patients get better and achieve their goals!
