Compassion, respect and making sure the person is treated with dignity. Have always been close to my older relatives, grandmother, aunts and feel I can show them the love and patience they need. Took care of my aunt for 13 plus years. Very proud that although at times it was difficult I could always find joy in the care of my aunt. I treated her like I would want to be treated.
I have been involved in healthcare for over forty years. I believe everyone should be treated with respect and dignity and TLC. I am patient, compassionate, and cheerful and outgoing. I have worked along side hospice nurses and know how important it is to work with the families as well. My philosophy is that my clients, as well as their families, are treated as loved members of my family. I have been blessed by all that I have worked with and they have inspired me as well. I advocate for my clients and their families so that they can seek the best solutions and get help for any issues they are having. We all need to have someone in our corner. At the end of the day, I am humbled and grateful for everything in my life.
Caregiving came to me naturally in my younger years and I believe God has placed natural talents and gifts in all of us. I enjoy working with people and take my work seriously. I count it an honor to serve others and I hold myself accountable for the care I give others even how I communicate and relate to my clients and their families. I really do enjoy being a caregiver because I love to encourage others and to lift their hearts where I can. (I also believe that what goes around comes around and one day I may need someone to care for me and encourage me.) I am very proud of working in a hospital, learning to train the nursing staff on safety and patient handling techniques. I am now a single mom with children grown and living very productive lives. I am not married any longer so I have to restrictions on my time. I do prefer to work night shifts because I did this for many years as a single mom. (child care for 3 was cheaper this way so I have become accustom to working nights.) I do have very strong references upon request.
I am a caring, loyal, reliable, patient, positive & trustworthy person. I love & enjoy care-giving, spending time serving & helping --working with families to care for their loved ones. I have had many experiences with my own family members dating back to 1994 as well, so I can completely understand & relate to what other families are going through. Those experiences & my long & extensive years working with many other families over time is what makes me an excellent caregiver. I have excellent work / personal references available immediately upon request.
Iam a very loving, kind, caring person i have been taking care of the elderly for 30+ year's, started out working in rest home as a cna I loved my job just didn't have enough time with all off my patients so I went into private care i love talking with the elderly and listen to there story's i just love what I do .
When I started out as a caregiver I looked forward to spending time with people who I knew I could share life with as I served and assisted them with daily living needs. It has been such a rewarding experience as I have been able to do this and gain the rewarding benefit of working for and with people. I enjoy the opportunity to be able to help others with their ADL's that they need assistance with and to see them perform tasks independently when they are able to. My patience, the time I spend with them, and my positive energy are a few of my strengths that also help me to succeed as a strong caregiver. I understand that every person is different and at a different stage or place in life. It is a joy for me to help a client and to share life with the people that I care for.
I'm a loyal, hardworking, honest, dependable caring person. I helped take care of my grandmother which made me realize how comfortable I am being a caregiver. I know one day I'll need caring for. I've been caring for others loved ones for almost 15 years now. I love my job and I love helping people in anyway I can. Please give me a chance to help take care of your loved one.
I'm very compassionate I love helping people in need !! I care for my grandparents for eight years and that gives me love and drive to start caregiving. When I take care of clients it makes me remember my sweet loving grandparents. God bless their souls !! For me it's not only a paycheck it's about helping those who can't help themselves it gives me peace and and comfort some sort of accomplishment at the end of the day like I'm doing something good with my life.. I love my grandparents and it was my pleasure taking care of them I feel like I gave them back something.. and now when I take care of my clients I still feel like I'm taking care of my grandparents and keep giving back ...

Hello I'm Cheryl, and I became a Caregiver because I have a passion for people. I have always helped people in some way shape or form. I feed the homeless, sometimes I give money and sometimes I will purchase food for them. I crochet and when it get's cold I take hats, scarfs, gloves/hand warmers that I made through-out the year down to the shelters and pass them out. I make Cemo hats and donate them to those individuals that have cancer and have lost there hair. I love being able to put a smile on someones face and in there heart. I love the fact that when I leave an individual they fill lifted, loved and hopeful. I am a veteran of the United States Army and that I am very proud of. I am a very compassionate, loving, trust worthy and honest person, I pride my self on my loyalty, dependability, and punctuality.
