What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is helping in whatever the patient needs help with I will deliver my all and most importantly take care for them. I feel a great satisfaction when i know i was able to do for someone that needed my help. I have always been very compassionate towards people but when my grandma got a stroke a few years back I really understood how hard it is to trust someone with your loved one. She is one of the main reasons why I take great care and take pride in what I do. I am a nursing student because of it and I'm proud of it.
I am a compassionate person who enjoy helping others. I'm a registered CNA with CPR/BLS and EKG training. I have over 15 years of experience with the elderly and disabled. After many years of working in a Hospital Business Office by day and caring for a family member at night, I decided to become a Caregiver to others. I know first hand what it is like to need assistance with the care of a loved one and realizing that you can't be there 24 hrs a day. The uncertainty of trusting someone else to do it for you can cause anxiety. I promise you that I will treat your loved one with kindness, dignity and respect, the same way I would like my loved ones to be treated. This isn't just a job for me, it is a ministry and a passion.
I am a very punctual person with lots of patience and smiles when dealing with clients especially seniors. I have over 10years experience as a care giver outside the U.S, I have more than 3 years experience in the U.S, caring for clients with Alzheimer and seniors generally. I was awarded the best caregiver of the year from Griswold home care. Giving care to some one who can't care for themselves is a passion that I have
I earned my Nursing Assistant Certification right out of high school in 2005. I've also worked in several nursing homes in New Orleans, LA from 2005-2012. My life's passion for practicing as a caregiver and working in the healthcare field has been seriously rewarding physiologically. Helping families and efficiently managing complex tasks is what I enjoy most about being a caregiver.
My major objective for becoming a caregiver is to make a difference in people's lives. People need a doctor to diagnose and treat their diseases and ailments, they need a nurse to administer medication and treatment when they are sick. However, at all times they need a caregiver to listen to them, attend to their everyday needs and treat them with compassion. That is where I come in. What I like about being a caregiver is that it affords me the opportunity to use what I have, the skill, knowledge, experience coupled with love, honesty and integrity to help people in need. One personal achievement I am proud of is the completion of the NRCPT Phlebotomy Technician's certificate and yet, rather than sit down to do venipuncture, I chose to do what I like most--care for people. I have worked in various aspects of the healthcare system. Overseas, I worked as pharmacy technician, medical assistant and nursing assistant for eight years. Here in the United States I have taken care of different kinds of patients especially the geriatric population and those with Alzheimer's disease as a professional certified by the Alzheimer's Foundation of America. I am very reliable, dependable and both a team player and team leader. I do my job with integrity and honesty. Moreover, I take the job personal in that I view the patient as if he/she was my father/grandfather, mother/grandmother, uncle/aunty.
I would say that I am very good at helping others I am a good motivator and a good listener. I love helping others and being there for others I hope to one day become a registered nurse. I enjoy most about being a care giver is the smile on my patient at the end of the day knowing that I was able to help them makes me very happy . I am very proud of myself because everything I've put my mind to in the last couple of years I have accomplished and I getting my CNA and PCA
