I took an interest in the medical field at the age of 20 during my schooling for Cosmetology. I went on to school an earn an associate degree in medical science as a Medical Assistant. Have worked in many areas of HOME HEALTH CARE. I am well rounded in most areas. A passion an interest in the health of people who need at home care and can utilize my knowledge and skills. I know how important it is to be comfortable in the privacy of your own home. I have assisted and supported families with caring for their love ones. My personal achievement was my schooling to reach my career goals. I love the medical field its so rewarding when u can be there to help meet the medical needs and support of those who really need it. An my desire is to continue to aide those who need an can use my skills. I have upgraded my skills with online continuing education and recently received certification in the care of Alzheimer and Dementia clients.

I am very friendly and outgoing love to be helpful in anyway I can as a caregiver. I was attracted when I got into home health care when I was pregnant and just taking care of my patient was a joy. I just love making sure my patient is well cared for in there home. I am proud that I have been able to in this field for almost 14 years wether is doing home heath, CNA work or my CMA work as well. I have loved been in this field and want to get back to doing home health care.

I became a caregiver because I love to help and take care of people. I like being a caregiver because I get to meet different people and care for them in ways that I am needed. A personal achievement that I am proud of is that I am able to go out and assist people with their needs and be a big help to the family as well as for the patient. I have been a CNA for 10 yrs and a Medication aide for 8yrs. I have also taken phelebotomy and EKG courses.

I became a caregiver because I know I can make a positive impact and difference in peoples lives. I know in my heart that nursing/caregiving is my calling. I love everything about being a caregiver from helping rehabilitate someone to making my residents and their families feel comfortable in their last days. A personal achievement I am proud of would be dedicating back to school to further my education in nursing. when I am providing care, or just doing anything, it shows that I enjoy what I am doing. Being a caregiver is more than just about the money. This field can be very challenging at times and I can handle any situation while remaining professional, positive, compassionate, and I am very trustworthy and honest. For the most part, I live up to my name and always strive for excellence.

Its funny my grandma was a RN and my mom did home health the whole time I was growing up. And I swore i would NEVER do it. Well in 2007 when recession started I kept losing one retail job after another. So I ended up having to move back in with mom. She offered to pay for me to take a CNA class and I could pay her back with my taxes. So I did. And i haven't stopped yet I have gone further and received my Certified Medication Aide license as well and hopefully will be able to continue my education in nursing some day. I like being there with the families, If i can be the person to lighten your load or even help understand a little whats going on. I love my patients and residents. They brighten my day. I know its work and my job but I feel that we help each other. I have a huge family with 13 brothers and sisters and the families I work with are just an extension of that.
