Hi Ive been in the medical field in various levels of patient care over 35 years. I have prenursing training and education , Im a registered Phlebotomist and Medical Assistant, much more than a CNA. After caring for my 95 year old mom for 6 years; the realization needing an xtra hand, if nothing else to get a break , was challenging to locate a professional quality caregiver that actually knew what they were doing, and were reliable. It's important to have a good fit with your reliable caregiver. In order to achieve quality care, the well-being , help maintain as much independence as possible, and mentally stimulation; plus provide comfortably safe environment is crucial. I offer a variety of shifts, days, and nights, over-night and weekends /holidays stays, to assist, and provide that much needed break to the full time family caregivers. Especially if you are on your own and need a helping hand till you recover, I'm there for you. I enjoy making a difference helping those that really need it. I have always been passionate about making the lives of those I care for owing to my experience in clinical practice as a an LVN/LPN licensed Nurse and a volunteering work in healthcare in which I have managed the aged and elderly and built a wonderful relationship with them which has helped the outcome of daily living, much improved. Owing to this experience, its been my passion to continue on such opportunities to provide quality care for my clients to make their lives much better.

Shortly after finishing medical assistant certification, my mother suffered a debilitating stroke. I realized how difficult it is to find quality, compassionate care for your love ones. I want to make it my mission to utilize my skills and experience to provide quality, loving, compassionate in-home care.

I earned my Nursing Assistant Certification right out of high school in 2005. I've also worked in several nursing homes in New Orleans, LA from 2005-2012. My life's passion for practicing as a caregiver and working in the healthcare field has been seriously rewarding physiologically. I have 23 years of medical assistant background in the out patient clinical setting. I have now discovered my passion as a caregiver. My goal is to provide personal care grooming, bathing, dressing and if need assistance with toilet care. I also do medication reminders, meal preparation, light housekeeping. I can provide transportation to and from appointments and errands. I have worked in a variety of settings. I have exceptional patience, listening and interpersonal skills. I believe the things that makes me an excellent caregiver is my empathy and history with disabilities. My father was diagnosed with Parkinson disease when I was 8 years old and diagnosed with alzeimers when I was 13-14. I spent most of my time from the age of 8 learning how to care for my father and keeping him active. The thing I most enjoy about being a caregiver is the fact that it makes a difference in someone's life. It can make somebody's day if they have company. Daily activities aren't so stressful and it can help seniors feel comfortable. Lastly, A personal achievement I'm proud of is my time in the navy with 2 deployments.
