I chose Caregiving/Healthcare because I'm naturally a caring and empathetic person. Caring should feel natural, & it certainly does for me. I began my career as a CNA working with the elderly population. I love and enjoy being a Caregiver, it's an opportunity for me to provide my support and care for those who need it most.

I helped take care of my grand mother when I was in high school, it was from that I got the passion of caregiving. The thing I like about caregiving is, meeting new people and providing caregiving services that they can no longer do for themselves. The smile on their faces is overwhelming and makes me feel I have done my job right. I have always enjoyed helping people so I know I am doing the right thing. Because of the love I have for caregiving I went to school got my CNA and later became a LVN.I have been a caregiver for 9years, I have worked in nursing home and private duties. I'm a outstanding , loving and caring Nurse and I have been in the Health care field for 11 years and a Nurse going on 4 years. I started out as a caregiver then I went to school for CNA ,Medication aide and Nursing school I am a LVN. I go above and beyond for any patient/residents I have been responsible for. It makes me feel good to know I have helped someone who needs help even if it's simply getting a cup of ice water. Although I am a nurse I would still love to do one on one care for a patient.A personal achievement that I am proud of is completing nursing school!

I feel I was blessed with the caregiving mentality at a very early age. I have an aunt who is only 5 years older than me and she has Cerebral Palsy. We are very close and were inseparable as children, I did all of her daily needs dressing, bathing, transferring out of bed and to bathroom without being asked. I saw she needed help and I just jumped in and did it. Years later as an adult I went on to be a CNA and I did this work CNA, home health & hospice for 10 years until I started raising my 5 children then I stepped back because I felt I couldn't give my full dedication that a person or people need if my children needed me. Now my children are older and I am coming back into the medical field eager and ready to give wholeheartedly. I went back to school and obtained my LVN license and I'm taking an online course to get my BSN and RN. I am bonded as well. I take caring for others very seriously. It is my passion to help others in any way that I can.

Im retired from nursing and am a natural caregiver, its not a job, more of a priviledge and delight. Many times im the only person the client sees for days.Im tasked with the job of giving,helping,laughing,conversing,reading,manicures, combed out hair, warm food on the stove.so on and so forth. Im a lady of faith,not an overzealous bible thumper. GOD commands us to be good to our fellow man,how easy is that to follow when youre a caregiver? Doesnt get any better than that. Even my worst days are good.Im proud or maybe happy i pursued art in many varied mediums except oils. Im self taught but wanted to be an "artist" before i knew what artists did.Married 24yrs, raised 4 outstanding sons when my husband decided one day he wanted a divorce.Very dark times were ahead for me.doing great finally,am happy, peaceful, surrounding myself with joy and laughter. Doing what i love which ihelping "my people" (clients).I take my job as being Very important, a chance to be a blessing to one in need, in return,i just am lucky to be able to help. Its my pleasure. I love even the most difficult of clients. I live w my puppy in apt xs 5yrs. Am established.stable, professional, own nice car,good driving record, no history w the police. Im allergic to drama so i dont partake.Presently i work part time w healthcare agency. I decided to go to nursing school in 1998 because I loved taking care of people. I also loved the science and research side of it too. Being a caregiver in any capacity, weather as a nurse or other is very rewarding. I was a nurse for 11 years. Mostly working with the elderly but I have worked in other areas such as dialysis, transplant and respiratory care.
