I became a caregiver because I wanted to provide my professional and quality care to the disable and to seniors. What I like about being a caregiver is, it really doesn't feel like work. It feels more like I just came over to assist a person in need. The personal achievement I am proud of is, that I have been a Certified Nursing Assistant for the last 16 years. I am also a Certified Medication Aide, certified in 2005. I now have a better understanding of medications, and the affects they have on the body. What I would like to tell you about myself is, One day in 1992; before I became a caregiver, and before my grandmother passed away, I was assisting her put on her socks. I didnt understand it then, but somehow now I do; At that moment I knew I would be assisting people in need. I have been helping seniors & the disable now for 16 years. It's very rewarding to see a family member pleased with my work. I am a mother of three daughters and grandmother of two g-sons and one g-daughter. I am a nurturer by nature, and I enjoy making others feel happy, comfortable, and joyful in their homes and special space.
I like being a caregiver because it helps me to serve people who are often ignored by society. I am a compassionate and caring individual. I have five years' experience in this profession, particularly with elderly people with memory issues. I am also qualified with CNA and CMA licenses. Because of my present full-time job, I am available in the morning, say 8 - 12 o'clock.

I become a caregiver because I love providing care services to those that would otherwise not be able to do so. the smile on their faces is overwhelming and makes me feel I have done my job right. I have always enjoyed helping people so I know I am doing the right thing.
What i like about my job is meeting new people and providing care giving services that they can no longer do for themselves and also being a caregiver for more than 6 years has helped me in so many ways, I have worked in Assisted living and memory care. I love what I do in helping each Resident I've ever worked with. Taking care of Elderly and sick people that needs my help gives me joy in my heart and it let me know they need people to work with them that care.

I have 33 years of medical background along with a degree in medical terminology/coding. This has helped me tremendously because in coding you learn not only about the disease but all that goes along with it. In my medical career in hospitals and physician offices I have cared for patients with all types of illnesses from common cold to cancer. I feel I am a very loving caregiver. I take care of my patients as if they were my own family. I have been with all my patients until their time of death so I develop very strong relationships.
