I become a caregiver because I care for the well being of people you always learn from them, I like learning about the past and how they got today. I like to help someone that needs help , I will do anything for the person , Ive always enjoyed taking care of people since I was 16, and will continue until the day I cant .
I'm very dependable in time of need whether your ill or need a hand. I am open to listen to you whether your having a good day or a bad day. I will assist with guidance, support and empathy. I have always been able to help others around me. I started out as a care giver in 1991, first by caring for children in my family. I enjoy being a companion to my residents. I'm also sociable and patient. I'm a Medical Assistant as well, but has only gained clinical experience as far as externship. I am willing to learn more hands on as a Medical Assistant. Seeking job in South Fort Worth area only. Can not work around dogs or cats.
I have worked as a caregiver since 2006 in nursing homes, home health and Hospice. I have experience working with patients with dementia, Parkasin, cancer, stroke, Incontinence care, and more. I am also a licence medical assistant since 2015. caregiving is not just a job but it is also a passion. I love to help and make a difference in the lives of others.
I've always had a heart for the world. I became very interested in the medical field when I witnessed my mom in an Alzheimer facility. She and many others were just drifting , not being attended to, not fed properly, just a $ sign. I left the field of Cosmetology to care for my mom in whom was also a cancer patient. I feel that I'm depositing what God would have me to do while here on earth and I love helping others. I want to make a difference in not letting anyone be left for dead, like they know longer exist, to share love and let them know they are loved. My personal achievement I am proud of is raising two sons as a single mom, caring for my mother and father until there death, completing Everest Institute at the age of 47, knowing this is only the start of my medical field journey and helping everyone. I am a person with empathy for all, a cheerful and pleasant demeanor, I have excellent oral and written communication skills, I react calmly as well as professional in urgent situations, I am always well groomed and well-organized.
Growing up I was around seniors quite often because my mother worked in nursing homes and other senior facilities. Out of 4 daughters in our family, I was always the one who wanted to tag along, go visit and even help out when I was allowed. Taking care of elders is not considered just a job to me but a pleasure. It is my pleasure to help those who are unable to help or care for themselves like they may have done before. It is my pleasure to give back to those who have given to us. I feel very comfortable around older adults. I get along with nearly everyone. Being very humble about compliments, I've been told that my personality is genuine and fun ... along with very caring, loving and compassionate. Going the extra mile is something natural for me. I do it without noticing. It is my daily prayer to help make a difference in someone's life. I take pride in the work that I do. If I don't know something I always ask. If there is overtime to be done I will do it without question. One personal achievement I am most proud of is gaining the trust of a troubled elder that was once mistreated by family members. I was able to show this elder that it's ok to need and accept help from another and get great results. I took care of my mother many years before she passed and I'd give anything to do it again. I learned many wonderful things from her. It's not that I want to walk in her shoes ... but I don't want to lose my way either.
Im a very caring, loyal, trustworthy and attentive caregiver with over 10 years of experience. I strive to accomplish my duties all awhile keeping my clients dignity intact. I love helping my clients maintain as much of their independence as possible and safest, without deflating their self-worth. Doing activities together with my client builds a wonderful bond and it's that bond that is my greatest reward.
