My love for humanity, being a good listener, my assessment skills, advocating for others and patience makes me a great caregiver. Also, I enjoy attending workshops and conferences to keep updated on health and resources. I have been a caregiver since 10 years old. I took care of the elderly in my neighborhood and when I turned 12 I became a caregiver to my neighbor's children. My dream was always to be in the Healthcare field. I started my nursing career first, as a Nurses Aide, Home Health Aide followed by continuing my education completing the Practical Nursing program, Associates Degree RN and on to My Bachelors Degree in Nursing (RN). When I make a difference in someone's life or see the health improvement and healing in my client, or patient it's rewarding to me, which is why I enjoy being a Nurse. A personal achievement that I am proud of is completing my education in order that I may be more effective in helping others and giving the best of care.

I was a CNA for nearly 5 years. I have completed nursing school and have been working as an RN since January. I feel that my happy and upbeat personality makes me a great caregiver. Im also a very good listener and am very empathetic. I always knew from a young age that when I grew up I wanted to help people. I have always been the one to care for family members when they were sick so it is second nature to me. I enjoy seeing my patients face light up when I walk in the room or just seeing them happy. I love knowing that they feel comfortable and well taken care of.

I grew up around the elderly from the day I was born. My mother was an LVN and caregiver for a special lady who I began to love and call my grandma. As I grew up I knew my passion was caring for the elderly. After nursing school, I enjoyed working in the hospital but decided to leave and do home health for a while. Then, when I moved to DFW, I decided on hospice. I am so glad I did. It is my calling. I love sitting with my patients and hearing their stories about growing up and their life. I take great pride in being able to care for my patients and knowing that my care makes a difference in their lives. I am a very outgoing person who almost always has a smile on her face.
