Hello my name is Shantel and what makes me a good caregiver is my personality I love helping people who needs assistance with everyday task. I love putting a smile on my client face and keeping them motivated to enjoy there life the best way they can with assistance. Why I became a caregiver is because it was in my heart to do and because it takes patience and understanding in an individual who once did many things in there life before reaching this chapter in there life. What I like about being a caregiver is getting to know about a client life story. I love hearing there many stories because as there caregiver it let's me know who they were before they entered into this chapter of there life. I love what I do in helping each client I've ever worked with. Taking care of sick people that needs my help gives me joy in my heart and it let me know they need people to work with them that care. I have learned a lot in my lifetime, and I have gotten better and better at a lot of things.I have helped other people. I have made other people smile that makes me happy.

Compassionate and ready to help others in need makes me a great caregiver. I became a caregiver because of my willingness to help others who are in need especially the elderly and sick. The Joy of seeing others smile again and being there for them, giving them attention are few of what i like about being a caregiver.

I enjoy caregiving I love taking care of people it's something that comes natural to me. I've been helping people with needs most of my life and this is some thing I truly enjoy. I am a very social person who loves to be around other seniors. I understand that as some seniors age, their capacity to attend to certain activities may diminish and I am very happy to be of help in this regard. Whether you need assistance with activities such as meal prep and dressing or simply an engaging companion for socialization, I will be happy to provide such care.

I have patience with people. Understanding that being an elderly person doesn't make you invisible too everyone else. I'm attentative,dependable,fun,but serious. I enjoy having a conversations and I have a positive attitude. I learn fast and I like to clean and have my patients clean. I became a caregiver because of the reward I get of feeling as if I helped someone who might or can't help themselves. I get a joy out of providing a service and not look for something in return. Wanting too make them happy as well the family members happy with my work. Not too brag, but when I was working for hospice for 5 and half years I was rewarded with caregiver of the year in 2015.I wasnt expecting that but I'm thankful for it.

Taking care of my dad ,who had to live with me personal achievement; That i was able to let him stay with me, and doing that we got so close .and found out who he was as a person ,learned a lot about the family history/great grand father /life work and that he was a veteran
