I am Virginia Board Certified Nursing Assistant with over five years of home health and assisted living care. After raising four children I returned to school and became certified as a Home Health Aid, Nursing Assistant as well as Phlebotomy Tech. Hello am a caregiver with the experience of taking care of the elderly, who was trained with the Sunrise Assisted Living in the year 2004,after a year sat for the State Board to be certified ,was then employed with the Hermitage and Fairfax Nursing Homes for quite sometime, within one of these facilities had a client who preferred to be cared for at home. Later part of 2006 I started private duty in Vienna VA and in 2009 Feb she passed away peacefully. I took care of my sick mother until she passed away. Later, a friend introduced me to the field of caregiving. Though I had formerly been a school teacher, caregiving fit like a glove. A client once asked me why I chose this profession, and I told her that I wanted to make a difference in people's lives. I offer personal care, housekeeping services, and companionship. When my client was dying, I held her hand the entire time, not knowing that the daughter had entered the room and observed my action. After her death I received a note from the daughter describing how she had been touched by my action. As a former teacher, I am punctual, compassionate, empathetic, and sentimental; I laugh and cry with my clients. My current job involves caring for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes. I have recently been providing a client with personal hygiene in the morning through CareLinx.

I became a caregiver in 2005, because I love helping elderly people to feel independent at all times in their own homes.
