I am a matured woman with a fifteen years work experience as a licensed caregiver( CNA) and also a licensed medication aide. I am also a professional cook. My compassion, empathy and the love I have for people especially the old and needy is a great assert to my work as a caregiver. Being a medical assistant and medication aide has given me more experience and knowledge to care for people with both medical and physical needs. My ethnic background, travel and educational background enables me to easily care for people of different backgrounds, ages, culture and religions. The work experience I have had both as a medical assistant and medication aide is also a plus to my job as a caregiver. Some people ask me, "why are you a caregiver?" I smile and simply respond, "I care to care." Caring for others has not only created an occupation for me, but also a way of life. Waking up in the morning and knowing that I am on my way to make someone feel better, either by assisting with daily living activities, by listening, or by telling jokes that make a client smile, makes me feel a great sense of accomplishment and joy. I have been a caregiver for over six years and have never had a dull day since I began. Each day provides me with an opportunity to make a positive impact on someone, and I cannot think of anything more rewarding. I am an empathetic, forthright, punctual, honest, and patient individual who maintains professionalism at all times. I believe that these fundamental characteristics put me on level ground with the clients I have cared for throughout the years, and with their families and loved ones. Since childhood I have wanted to make a difference in people's lives, and being a caregiver I can make an impact that goes above and beyond that goal.

I became a care giver because somebody has to help people who are fragile and sick and can not help themselves. it is a great feeling to help out and be there someone who needs help.
