I have about 32 years of experience being a caregiver. I use to own my own Caregiver agency but, it took me away from providing personal care to my clients, I decided to give that up so I could work closer with the client. I've provided care for individuals with MS. I currently work part time for the State of Washington as a certified Care Giver & I have a couple of part time clients . I feel & have been told I'm a great caregiver because I think of others first, filling the needs of others before myself. I think the best way to be a affective caregiver is to really have consideration for the fact that, it could sometimes be Very humiliating having someone to provide care for you & to treat others as you want to be treated. I always talk to my clients and helping them to see that I do understand how it feels to be able to once have done things for yourself and now to have to rely on someone else. I also forgot to mention that I have a daughter who lives with me, she's now 30 and she's been on dialysis for about 10 years and so I have quite a bit of experience in the medical field. I was also certified as a CNA for about 20 years I am not currently certified but, have loads of experience working with the elderly, I've worked on my own, in nursing homes & hospitals. I've worked for the State of California in a Veterans home for about 10 years just prior to me coming to Seattle. I've been in Seattle for 14 years.
I am a hard working, dedicated, loving care giver with more than 20 years experience. I am certified in the state of Washington and currently work with Developmental Disabilities. I have been with my current employer for 11 years. I believe in providing the very best quality care that each person deserves. I also believe in preserving each person's dignity. I am honest and dependable. I can shop, cook, clean and do other assignments as needed. I am also always willing to learn. I do understand the needs of individuals change from time to time and I will do my best to accommodate each person. I have had various classes such as Fundamental of caregiver, Bloodborn pathogen, First Aid/CPR, Nurse delegation to name a few. I have had training with Alzheimer's and Dementia.
Hi! My name is Yang Shi and I am from mainland China, I have lived here for 29 years. I had a restaurant business for more than 20 years in Arkansas. Our restaurant got "Top 100 Chinese's Restsurant" award in 2009. I sold the business and property in 2015 and moved to Seattle to be closer to my daughter while she goes to college at the University of Washington. I returned to China last year to take care my parents for several months before I started to work at the Fred Meyer. I accompanied my parents reading, writing, and talking, reminding them to take medicine, and prepared them meals. That was a very sweet and unforgettable time. After moving to Seattle I worked at the Norse Home in Greenwood serving the elderly community. I also spent time working as a caregiver for an older woman with dementia for several months; I prepared her meals and assisted her to the bathroom and shower and helped her keep her exercise and medicine schedule and maintained the housework. I know how to take care of older people , according to my working and living experience . I love people , love animals, love trees, plants and nature. I understand how important honesty and love is in my life. I am very confident I will do a good job at being a caregiver.
Greetings! I fell in love with caregiving while attending travel school, and working for an elderly man in his home. My passion for caregiving comes from growing up in a large family and always having people around me of all ages. I adored my grandparents, and had the pleasure of caring for all of my older siblings children before having 2 of my own. When I lost my grandparents, I decided that I wanted to spend my time around seniors, helping them to remain in their homes as long as possible. It has been a 35 year career for me, and I enjoy it more every day! The personalities of my clients are so varied and so valuable, and the knowledge and humor I have witnessed has been truly priceless. I hope I can somehow give back as much as I have been given.
I am kind and compassionate caregiver with over 10 years of experience in the field. I am a good listener and my priority is safety and wellbeing of my clients. My view as a caregiver is to be positive, patient, and enjoy my work serving my clients. I enjoy reading, spend time with my two grandchildren and my family, and gardening.
When I was in college my grandmother had Parkinson's and dementia. I wanted to help her but did not know how so I started to study nursing and was able to help her until her passing. It was a final act of love and caring that had a huge impact on my life. I try to give the same care to all my patients. I have a great passion with working with the elderly to give them the care and companionship they need when many others have turned away.
As a Certified Nursing Assistant with seven years of experience, I enjoy getting to know people and contributing to their lives in a positive way. I do not shy away from working with various health issues. Most importantly, I want clients and their families to feel that they have received their money's worth when I have finished for the day. I reside in Seattle and am seeking local clientele. References from current and former clients are available upon request.
