My name is Courtney, I am a CNA that absolutely loves what I do! I have been CNA for 9 years and absolutely love what I do! I was born and raised in the upper peninsula of Michigan, and moved to Washington 10 years ago, where I graduated and started my career. I am a very up-beat, happy person. I have Dementia and Alzheimer's training, I am nurse delegated and have recently worked as a lead med tech in an assisted living and memory care unit. I treat each client as an individual and I am very patient and understanding when it comes to care/needs for you/ your loved one, I take my time and make sure they know what I'm doing before I do it and I am not afraid to ask questions when I am unsure of something. I am very trustworthy, reliable and I also always make the best of my visits by keeping them as active/independent as possible to promote quality and longevity of life. I have always enjoyed taking care of others. Watching my Dad suffer from Dementia for 10 years, built my desire in assisting others to remain in their own homes for as long as possible. I became a caregiver in 2011 to take care of my father in law until he passed away in 2013. I found this profession to be very rewarding and chose to pursue it. Building relationships with our elders, listening to their life experiences, helping with their daily activities brings me much joy. The personal achievement that I am most proud of I think would have to be my compassion and desire to help others as well as going back to school to obtain my NAC. My husband and I have been married for 34 years and have lived in Arlington for the past 24 years. We have a 28 year old daughter. A year ago we gained full custody of a 5 year old. I have spent the last year at home, devoting my time to him. He is now secure, doing well in school, it's time for me to get back out into the work force.

Iam have experience for more than 10years in this feild. I worked in the rehab/ nursing home, assistant living, adult family home and one on one on private home too. I have worked in all level of care to gain experience so that I can work as a independent person .I also know can cook good healthy food.i use to be a manager for afh.

I'm a single mom, I started out in this field because I was raised by my grandparents I started off at 18 as a in home care aid to mentally disabled adults, I then branched to children for a while and then ended up working in a facility for 5 years. I became a Certified Nursing Assistant in 1994. I worked as a NAC until 2007, when I became part of the rewarding Therapy Department at Regency Care Center. I remained working for Regency Care Center until December 2014, doing NAC duties and Restorative Care. I had a very rewarding position and it showed in my residents. My residents were always clean and happy.
