I'm very trustworthy, honest and kind person. I became a caregiver because my grandmother suffer health issues that couldn't not be met in a traditional senior living facility so I took several class to learn all the cares she needed at the time. However one thing that I enjoy the most as a caregiver is smiles and laughter from a patient that's comfortable with the way I care for them. One thing that I person achievement that I'm proud of is giving back to others that needs help.

I became a caregiver as a young child. Helping my cousin, Brian, who had Downs Syndrome, overcome fears and succeed made me deeply happy. I worked my way through college as a live-in caregiver, and relived the joy I had as a young girl helping Brian love life. If I had to give one reason that sets me apart as a caregiver, it is this -- love making others feel safe, content, happy, and challenged. By that, I mean motivated to overcome problems and feel hopeful once again. Overall, I have been caregiving for 15+ years (except for the 20 years I taught school), and I give God the credit for placing the love and compassion in my heart for those who are suffering. When I help others, then I am happy.

I have been a caregiver for about 5 years. I started taking care of my grandmother when I was in high school and I really enjoyed it. I am a 57 year old married women who has worked in the healthcare filed for 25 years. I was the manager of Housekeeping for 20 years at Aurora. I have 3 grown children and 5 grandsons and one granddaughter on the way (10-11-16). I'm seeking to work for a family who is in need of someone to clean, cook and perform all housekeeping duties. I have my own transportation and insurance. Hopefully i will be paid for mileage. I'm only available 3 hours each night Monday thru Friday. I can work from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. I'm very passionate about working for the Seniors or Elderly as i have for 5 years with my Mom who has Dementia. I attend Park-lawn Assembly Church of God and i also put God first in everything I do.
