What makes me a great caregiver? I love people and just knowing am able to give back to my elders is amazing. I am a caregiver to everyone my own children, others children, elders and people on the street by feeding them and just assisting them where its needed , giving words of encouragement. Around the community people call me mama/ mama nay-nay or grandma. I feel God put me on this earth to care for others besides myself. I have always put others needs before my own. I will go without just so someone else is able to be okay. Am humble, funny, lovable and caring. Am very proud of all my accomplishments but most of all Receiving my Masters in Human Services was one I was most proud of. Loving others is what I do best.
I really enjoy taking time from my personal life to help someone else in need. I find I learn a lot working as a caregiver which gives me joy to know I'm able to be a caregiver. I find that I like the most about being a caregiver is developing new relationships and being able to carryout my duties as a caregiver. My most personal achievement is being able to help my daughter spell her name so she can be success in school. I'm very creative in my everyday life to ensure I learn new skills. My biggest drive is staying positive and strive for better to obtain goals in life.
What I think makes me a good caregiver is that i am loyal, patient, compassionate to whom i work with becasuse I know people that need the help have it hard. So to have a trustworthy hand to help with ever day need is why i feel this was made for me. I became a caregiver because of my sister whom have been in a group home all her life an also because of my grandmother whom passed in 2010. What I like about being a caregiver is the people you met an the life lessons you learn while doing you work.

I'm willing to learn new skills and continuing my education . Personal Achievement I am proud of are the fact that I am fulfilling my goals & aims. Staying humble despite my 12 years of adoption & also that I focus more on my top priorities rather than other things. & also adjusting & mingle, instead of feeling sad that no one is including me.
I am Mommy to 5 Children. One is a teen-ager with Autism, one has a serious heart condition, I also take care of two people one mentally disabled, one physically disabled. I am a very patient, understanding Women, I work full-time at Wisconsin activity center and care for 26 clients, feeding, changing, each with varying degrees of mental, physical disabilities. Am working towards a C. N. A. license. I believe good work will come back to Me, providing quality loving care to those that need it is extremely rewarding! I have found nothing else I have done more rewarding than this journey, calling it work just doesn't fit. Providing confidence to My clients family's that they are getting proper care is a wonderful reward.
I'm UPDATING my profile today, 6-3-2019, to reflect an upcoming change in my life: I plan to move in with my 86 year old Dad, next month. He loves to drive (he has 4 cars!) but his doctor has suggested that he not drive alone to unfamiliar places. (He has memory loss and gets turned around easily.) What I love about the Carelinx platform is that it allows me to offer my services as a professional caregiver to families that need my help while being able to care for my family members, too. I have over 17 years of experience as a caregiver and a sympathetic ear, especially when it comes to caring for elderly parents! I can understand how you feel because I'm going through and have gone through many of the same things. (My Mom passed away in May 2014.) Feel free to contact me if you need a caregiver for 2-3 days per week, for 4-6 hour afternoon shifts or if you just need to talk to someone willing to listen. May the Lord bless and comfort you through these challenging times. - Stephanie
I became a caregiver as a young child. Helping my cousin, Brian, who had Downs Syndrome, overcome fears and succeed made me deeply happy. I worked my way through college as a live-in caregiver, and relived the joy I had as a young girl helping Brian love life. If I had to give one reason that sets me apart as a caregiver, it is this -- love making others feel safe, content, happy, and challenged. By that, I mean motivated to overcome problems and feel hopeful once again. Overall, I have been caregiving for 15+ years (except for the 20 years I taught school), and I give God the credit for placing the love and compassion in my heart for those who are suffering. When I help others, then I am happy.
I have 4 beautiful children whom I take care of everyday with not one complaint. I love being a mom and caring for them so I decided being a caregiver was a great job for me. I have worked in this field for over 10yrs Private pay and through companies and I have managed to still be in love with what I do.
Very caring and out going. I grew up with a physically challenged brother who needed complete care. this taught me to be compationate and aware of boundaries. Caring for those how I would like to be cared for. Took CNA course while raising 2 children and working full-time. This January recieved CBRF certification.
