I started working as a caregiver so I can provide quality care and concern for elderly patients. I was raised by my grandparents and my grandmother was diagnosed with dementia/Alzheimers and pancreatic cancer. I took care of her for almost 4 years before she passed away. I know that she had a fear of going into a nursing home because of the neglect that sometimes occurs so I tried my best to make her last moments on this earth as comfortable and enjoying for her which is what I do for every patient I have had while working as a caregiver. I generally care for my clients and treat them as if they were my own family member.
