I the last four years I had worked with elderly and younger people who needed constant care. I became part of the families for the time being, as a live-in carer, and I experienced how sensitive and personal each situation is. I was raised by life-long carers (both my parents were certified nurses) and I lived in an environment where family life included more generations. Although I was professionally trained in a different area, my social and personal inclinations proved to be essential contributors to my performance. I discovered that I liked to help people, especially when they are at a point in life where being surrounded by compassionate and warm companions it priceless. My approach is: how would I like my mother to be taken care of, or how would I like to be treated?
