I became a caregiver because I believe everyone should be treated equally with respect and I care a lot about people being a caregiver is a big responsibility is treating the other person like you expect others to treat you, treating them like a human not like a number. I am proud of myself because i have deferent certifications like medical assistant and respiratory therapy so i am not only a caregiver but much more then that. i am a motivated person ready to better myself and people around me.
There are several characteristics that make an amazing caregiver. I'm patient, compassionate, attentive, dependable, and trustworthy. I've wanted to be a Nurse since the age of 5. My motivation is deeply personal. I lost my grandmother at the age of 20. There is no one that I loved more than my grandmother. It was such a joy to sit with her daily to hear of all her tales of when she was younger. When she became terminally ill, I took on full responsibility of caring for her. My skills were definitely put to the test. After her passing, I made it my mission to help the helpless and comfort the sick. I have a deep affinity for caring for others, and spend 3 days a week volunteering at local Senior centers. This is my passion. I have been providing in-home care for seniors for over 3 years both through agencies and as an independent contractor. I enjoy assisting seniors in being able to enjoy the safety and comfort of their own homes. I hold CNA (subject to renewal) and HHC certificates which attest to the specific training I have had for the task of home health care.

I am proud of being able to care for my husband for 2 years with prostate cancer.Working in a group home for the first time. I am presently with a group home looking to relocate, love to travel, gardening, meeting people, and going to church.
