When I was 14 my mom was diagnosed with a brain tumor. She was operated on but it left her with the need of 24 hr care. So with family's help she was able to stay at home. I realized that I wanted to be a nurse but do to financial and personal circumstances I was not able to attend to nursing program. I did however go to the adult ed CNA program and I knew then that it was my calling in life. I believe my best achievement(s) has been the friendship and memories I have made. I have a special place in my heart for the elderly. I have learned much from them. I have not worked for several years. After 20yrs of working as a cna I was let go from my past employer due to the fact I had been ill and had used all of my sick and personal time, I had none left. I was offered to return back there however I would like to do something different even if it is in a different setting. I am a stay at home wife I have 2 grown boys and 5 step children whom are all grown up and gone. We have 16 grandchildren and they are all the light of my life. I love family and what it stands for, we belong to a wonderful church and consider everyone there as family. My husband and I like to travel when we can we also like to go boating and fishing. We are active in the Caloosa dive club and enjoy the times when we all get together.
I am a very outgoing and compassionate person. I was attracted to being a caregiver because I love to help people and try to bring joy to people that are in need. I would enjoy that fact that I could be making a difference in someones life. One of my personal achievements that I am proud of was when in one semester I had four class, four labs, research lab, and three different jobs and I still managed to receive a 4.0 GPA.

I became a Caregiver because I wanted to work with seniors. They are wise beyond their years. It is my personal goal to make each person feel very special. It is an honor to be able to care for someone who gives me their trust to help them. My husband and I moved from Boston in 2007 to Florida. I am experienced, bonded, insured and a non-smoker.

I'm outgoing and fun to be around. I love caring for the elderly. Every day is a new day. I enjoy the smiles, I put on someone's face. My family is in the medical field that is what brought me into this type of work. I also have a loved one that has dementia. I'm experienced in Alzheimers and dementia patients. I know CPR and have also taken the Emergency medical technician Course. I can also take care of your loved one if they need hygiene care, light housekeeping and meal preparation. If they need to go to doctors appointments or shopping.
