My favorite reason for working with the elderly is because they're " walking history" we have so much to learn from them. I took care of my grandpa when he was diagnosed with cancer & from that day on I knew this was my calling. My grandparents played a big part in my life & I moved to Florida from Kentucky. I truly miss being with my grandparents so give me the honor of hiring me & letting me take care of your family. I have so much companionship to offer!

It is an assisted living retirement home so i cleaned their rooms, fed them, played cards with the, I would sit and go through photos with them as they reminisced on their memories. A lot of my patients had Alzheimer's or Dementia. I got so close with these people that to this day I will still call and talk to them! I bathed them, Dressed them, Fed them, I seen myself as more than just their CNA! For some of them I was all they had. Many had family that would come see them, but for the ones that didn't i made myself their family. I would take extra time to just really be in the moment with them. I never wanted them to feel like i am caring for them because it was my job, but I was caring for them because I wanted to.
