I have a great compassion for the sick and elderly. I believe that if I provide care and compassion if need be when my time comes God will also make away for me. I am sewing seed in the Kingdom of heaven. Why did I become a caregiver? I am called and choosen by God. Mentally, emotionally and phycially it can be hard work but very rewarding.I like being able to provide love and care and companion ship with a since of peace. My greastest and personal achievement in life me being able to take care of my step father while he was sick and up till the day he passed away. My story I was raised by a step parent but I could never tell he was my step father he always treated me good kind and loved me even when I was wrong but let me knew when I was wrong and tried to show me a better way he was my Hero and still to this day he will always be. I was able to show the love by taking care of him while he was sick and able to be present as he took his last breath and prepare his body for the under taker that was the last thing I could have ever done but the greatest.

What makes me a good caregiver is because I have passion for what I do. I enjoy helping the elderly and putting a smile on their faces. It is a rewarding feeling for me. I have about 6 yrs. experience in this field. I take vital signs, bathe, dress, groom, take on errands, light house keeping, and toileting. Thank You.
I am interested in caregiving because I have experience with my grandmother. She has Alzheimer's/dementia. I help her by doing errands, cleaning, and transportation. A big thing is just being a companion for her. I believe it's important that all people are treated fairly and lovingly. I have learned to be more patient and caring through the years. Making people happy and helping them brings me joy.
The one thing that makes me a great caregiver is I am a great listener and I am always paying attention. The one thing I mostly enjoy about being a caregiver is knowing I am doing something good for someone else. Even if it's something small like going to the bathroom. The one thing that really attracted me to become a caregiver is knowing I will be able to help someone live as normal life as they can. Lastly the one thing that makes me think that I can be a good caregiver is I took care of my uncle and grandma. Growing up as a teen I had to help with taking care of my grandma that had dementia and my uncle he was on hospic for 5 years.
I hold an RN Associate of Science Degree in Nursing and am seasoned in the healthcare field since 2000, taking care of my own grandparents is what led me to nursing school, I personally understand and recognize the hardship when having to care for aging love ones, and more importantly the internal conflict of choosing who to entrust for their care, I strive to help seniors live their life with as much independence and dignity as they can, and enjoy giving back in some small way as a caregiver, because after all, they too were once loving caregivers themselves :)
Willing to go above and beyond the call of duty I am a hard worker that has the ability to quickly learn and adapt to any high demand stressful/nonstressful situations, and looking forward to making an immediate impact as a member of your family. I have practiced this rule since I have started my home health career 30 years ago. I cared for my grand father Robert Dale Sands at the age of 16 years old he got colon cancer. I cared for him after school up until he passed away 3 months after the doctors said he'd last. I enjoyed the smiles that I brought him when he'd see me after school. That smile changed my life, I was hooked I knew my calling that was to care for the clients as family. I attend to the clients Activities of Daily Living (ADL) Which include but are not limited to Bathing, Medication Assist, Cooking, and driving to shopping as well as assisting within the community. I treat all my clients like family because if I cared for them and I thought about a paycheck the clients would not get the care they duly deserve. Thank You Bruce Sands, Jr.
I am a born care giver. I am happiest when I am doing that domestic thang. I am a College graduate. I was a CNA many years ago. I was a Teacher at Desart Christian Center for 6 years. I worked in a couple of state run group homes. I have worked for an agency called Right at Home in OKC ok. I find I am at my best when I am a independent care giver because keeping the cost low to the family relieves a lot of stress, the family already has enough to deal with. Without having to be burdened with high fees from an agency. One on One care is where my heart is. I dont do this type of work for the money. I mean I need to pay the rent but I could do anything but this is where my heart is. I truly believe that our Seniors Citizens have taken care of us all our lives and now it is our turn to take care of them.
I became a caregiver twenty years ago when my mother-in-law was ill. It is God's work, and I get fulfillment out of giving back to those who always gave of themselves to us. Being kind and patient with the needy is a feeling of accomplishment. I am a wife, and mother of two sons. One is a teacher, and the other is graduating from medical school this June.
