About Dania J.

I became a caregiver because my mother fell ill and came to live with me temporarily. I was sadden by how helpless she was. I realized then that it would take a special person to care for my mother the way I was caring for her with the tender loving compassion. It also made me realize that I could make a difference in needy person’s lives, and also give their family the peace of mind to know that their love ones are being properly cared for. I enjoy providing homecare services to those that would not otherwise be able to do so on their own due to their limited mental and physical inabilities. I like particularly enjoy seeing the display of appreciation from a person, especially the smile in their faces when they can truly see that the care is being given with compassion and undivided attention. This type of care is very therapeutic, when it is coupled with the motivation of autonomy, because I strongly believe when an individual is encouraged to take limited part in their own care, it maintains dignity, better health, and promotes quicker recovery. It will also allow them to remain living in the familiar environment of their home. I successfully raised my two wonderful adult children who have achieved their educational goals. My other accomplishment was caring for my mother while she was ill. Although challenging, I was very content for being able to contribute to her comfort during her difficult time.
