Hello, my name is Emmaline Calixte, I am 22 years old and I am originally from Naples Fl. I moved to Illinois 2 years ago with my mom to help take care of my sister at the time new born baby. I'm a high school graduate, I graduated in 2013 From Golden Gate High School. I attended my first year of college at Edison State College located in Fort Myers Fl. I've been a Care giver for over the past six years; Without counting the care I have given to my own grand parents when they were alive. Helping someone out has always been what I have been good at. I'm a very easy and understanding person. I'm very patient and I also have a good listening ear. I'm always willing to go the extra mile for someone if I am able. I love being a caregiver because, I can put myself basically into someone else shoes and help them where they need help. Whether its with going shopping with or for a person, assisting them a shower, cooking food for them, or even just being someone to talk too. Being a care giver is also really enjoyable, I've learnt a lot from my previous clients. About things they have really lived through verses things I can only ever read about. Its like working and learning all at the same time. lastly, I enjoy being a caregiver because growing up I always attended to my own grandparents. Assisted them with alot, because they were unable. I've known from a little girl, that is was what I wanted to do, work with elders and treat them as I treated my own before they pasted away.
