One of my personality traits that help me be such a great care giver is having patience and good communication skills. Caring for, and having successful relationships with older adults often require patience and good communication skills. Being in the health occupations and shadowing program through out my four years of high school is what attracted me to wanting to be a caregiver. I enjoy all of the things that come along with being a caregiver. It makes me feel good inside knowing that I am able to help someone who isn't capable of doing certain things on there own such as dressing, bathing, eating. The little things count. A personal achievement I am proud of is within my first year of working in the medical field I became a CNA as well as shift leader at my current facility.
