Dear Review Committee: I have spent my professional career as an attorney and have relocated to the Pinellas County area. The practice of law contains two components: advocating the law for your clients, and providing passionate, thorough, and devoted attention to your clients' personal needs as they relate to their legal issue. The second part of that equation is what called me to pick law as a profession and continues to guide me today----a caring and nurturing desire to help people. I believe my talents are uniquely suited to the Senior population at this point in my life. Having had a career, I can relate to others that have retired. I have a vast knowledge of different types of people, cultures and topics. So I find it easy to relate to almost anyone. I am an excellent listener and do not need to have the conversation center around my life/world. I understand that some seniors can be a bit set in their ways. As long as “their way” does not present a health or safety risk, “their way” it shall be. Also, and maybe most important, my background as a lawyer and own personal maturity give me a keen sense of professional boundaries. I understand that I am an employee providing companion services and in no way am I to service as a replacement for a client's family, loved ones, doctor, lawyer or spiritual adviser.
