I became a caregiver because I love people. What I love about being a caregiver is the smile they have on their face when I arrive. My personal achievement, giving my patient hope. I had a resident one time that broke her leg. At first, she didn't trust anyone including the nurses but I finally convinced her to trust in me. After a few days, I was able to get her to start her therapy and she began walking again. I've been a CNA/ CAREGIVER for 24 yrs. I love what I do. I have the desire to one day open my own adult day care.
