About Alexander

I am a 37 year old male, strong, capable, and experienced in Nursing. I have an Associate's degree and licensed as a Registered Nurse but I always say that being a good person is something I learned before I ever got certified by the State. I really enjoy helping people and putting a smile on their face and feel like there is nothing I will stop at to make sure I do. Being a male caregiver I have experience with other male patients and the required care including always being neat and presentable. If you need someone to fix a healthy and delicious meal at home I can certainly take care of that too.

    Experience & Education

    Registered Nurse

    Oct 2013 - Oct 2015
    Palm Beach Pain Management
At Palm Beach Pain Management, I worked there two years, and hardly ever missed a day seeing patients and developing a relationship with a lot of people. We would see a lot of patients and I got to know a lot about pain management and how to connect with and help people. We specialized in pain management, spinal cord stimulators, pain pumps and injections but got to know the patients and became close too.

    Registered Nurse/CNA

    Oct 2010 - Jul 2013
    A Nurse's Registry
Prior to working in pain management, I worked in home care as a certified nursing assistant, and worked in homes mostly making people more comfortable. I enjoy working in home care and feel like people are always more comfortable in a home setting. As a Registered Nurse I feel like I have more to contribute now to help people feel that much more safe. Also, I have a strong background in cooking, cleaning, and have a neat and presentable appearance to go out and visit.

I am dedicated to each and every person I have the privilege in caring for. I am very patient, compassionate, thorough, and attentive. I have 20 years of CNA experience and through out the years have had a wonderful time getting to know each patient and go above and beyond ensuring they are taken of. I only hope as I age, that I would be well taken care of with my dignity and grace.

Have been in the Medical Field 30yrs, started from the ground up. First worked @ "JFK Hospital", when CNAs were "grandfathered in" as you were in Nursing Program & passed "Fundamentals of Nursing". After a particular point of the program, "Med-Surg Nursing" the Hospital considered you, a " Nurse Tech" , upon completion of the PBJC Nursing Program, I sat for RN-NCLEX. Didn't pass the 1st time. I was given a suggestion to sit for LPN Boards & passed them. Due to changes in health care structure, & financial issues, JFK wouldn't hire me as an LPN. It was bought out,and kept only certain amt of CNA's by Seniority, letting me go in the process. I had to wait till the area Nursing Homes would hire as LPN jobs were scarce & they were looking for RNs. I sat again for RN NCLEX, & passed and then applied @ a Rehab/LTC have been in either there, an ALF, 3 Nursing Agencies, several other Rehab/LTC & done Private Duty Care for 4 Elderly Parents & a Private Client for the past 10yrs as well. I am also a Certified Florida Notary Public some of duties have helped Patients with Wills, End of Life decision Making etc. My biggest thing about being a great Caregiver is treat the Client like they ARE your Family member, which earns their trust, & makes them MORE comfortable with you giving care to them. This way I can treat my Client as a "Whole Person" not just their Illness. This Includes: their Spirtual, Emotional, Psychological, besides the Physical Needs.
