Hi my name is Sheylene. I'm a CNA/ HHA, I have been taking care of patients since I was young , my mother was an RN and I used to go with her to her private patients when I was 14 and 15 years old from that time I knew that this is what I wanted to do I wanted to have the one on one with my patience and enjoy and get to know them and their families. I have worked with quadriplegics patience, Parkinson patients, stroke prescience, heart attack patients, brain injuries, spinal injuries, Alzheimer's patients, dementia patients, and just regular patients that need help with their daily living . I love doing what I do because every new patient I go to I learn something new I learned either to cook something new or I learn to make something crochet I learn about their lives the way they grew up things that I didn't know about and that's why I love that I could be able to talk to them, you form a relationship you learned to love and care for these patients and that's why I love what I do. I am 38 years old I have two kids pretty old now the baby is 13 I am married for the past 15 years. I have been doing healthcare since 2002 I worked privately and also with agencies I have all my in-service is up-to-date my Leison is up-to-date, also I have my level two fingerprint background if needed. And I would love to get to know a lot more families and learn a lot more new things. thank you
I became a caregiver on account of my good friend Ronnie Starling who was treated "bad" repeatedly by others and I wanted to save him from that kind of life, which he did not deserve and give him a safe and nurturing environment by taking care of him in my home. I took care of Ron on a volunteer basis for almost 2 years and It was on account of Ron that I decided to go to college for HHA/CNA in order to learn professional care in order to to take even better care of him! What I like most about caregiving is the satisfaction I get meeting other people's needs, making sure they lack for nothing and just being able to make their lives a little easier, comfortable and more fulfilling mentally, emotionally, physically and even spiritually. I love to be an encouragement in any way possible. I have worked with Alzheimer's decease and Dementia patients as well as end of life care. I only wish to be of help to those in need.
My name is Destine tijean and I enjoy meeting new people and finding ways to help them have an uplifting experience. People find me self-motivated team player, caring and kind. I am dedicated person, outgoing, patient and compassionate. I have worked with so many families with different backgrounds, religion, and nationalities while working at Brighstar agency. I enjoy working as HHA because I love people and I love the fact I can help another human being. I learn from my patients as well. My personal achievement that I am most proud of is when a patient thank me and tells me that I change her life for the best.
I've been a caregiver for 13 years. I love this job because it gives me the opportunity for people to stay at home, nursing homes or anywhere they may feel comfortable. That's my nature and I'm a team player. I know I'm a great caregiver because I understand how difficult sometimes it can be to transition to Something different from my own experience. One of the reasons that I am so dedicated to this job Is because I took care of my mother that had MS for several years until she passed away. Another great experience I had was with a patient that I took care of for 6 years. He was disabled and bound in a wheel chair, that really made me appreciate life at its fullest.
Am a happy person caring, understanding, a good listener , and I have been doing this for about 20 yrs. I've done shopping, baths, doc, apps, Light housekeeping, laundry. stay overnights, med reminders I do not smoke or drink,I do have background check on file and have reference on request. Thanks: Leandrew Lezcano
I recently discovered my passion for working with the elderly when i got pregnant . I worked with this caring lovable lady doing light house cleaning. I watched as her caregiver took good care of her so after I gave birth I decided to continue in the medical field. I soon found and got to know many different personalities. My Most proud moments are when i go home knowing I've made someone else smile. I love getting to know others and rekindling their past with them.
I became a caregiver because I love what I do, I can assist with bathing, oral hygiene, grooming, feeding and elimination. I love being a caregiver because I respect all my clients and I interact with all my clients. As a caregiver I treat my clients as if they were my own mother or father. My Personal Achievement was leaving McDonald's as a cashier to pursue being a caregiver.
I am passionate and I am dedicated to and helping anybody in need especially elderly people. I enjoy to provide them with special love and support that they might need especially when they are away from their family. I have the determination and motivation to dedicate myself and services to ensuring my clients receive the best and proper health care service they deserve. A personal achievement of mine that I am proud of is, out of the 33 years as a licensed professional care giver I have not once received a complaint from a client or employees.
Have been in the Medical Field 30yrs, started from the ground up. First worked @ "JFK Hospital", when CNAs were "grandfathered in" as you were in Nursing Program & passed "Fundamentals of Nursing". After a particular point of the program, "Med-Surg Nursing" the Hospital considered you, a " Nurse Tech" , upon completion of the PBJC Nursing Program, I sat for RN-NCLEX. Didn't pass the 1st time. I was given a suggestion to sit for LPN Boards & passed them. Due to changes in health care structure, & financial issues, JFK wouldn't hire me as an LPN. It was bought out,and kept only certain amt of CNA's by Seniority, letting me go in the process. I had to wait till the area Nursing Homes would hire as LPN jobs were scarce & they were looking for RNs. I sat again for RN NCLEX, & passed and then applied @ a Rehab/LTC have been in either there, an ALF, 3 Nursing Agencies, several other Rehab/LTC & done Private Duty Care for 4 Elderly Parents & a Private Client for the past 10yrs as well. I am also a Certified Florida Notary Public some of duties have helped Patients with Wills, End of Life decision Making etc. My biggest thing about being a great Caregiver is treat the Client like they ARE your Family member, which earns their trust, & makes them MORE comfortable with you giving care to them. This way I can treat my Client as a "Whole Person" not just their Illness. This Includes: their Spirtual, Emotional, Psychological, besides the Physical Needs.
