Very caring and active individual. Loves to engage patient in conversation. Study patient's behavior in order to determine their mood and what they were up to for the day. Took very good care of the patient. Cared for my mother, also an Alzheimer patient for 14 years, from October 1996 until September 2010. Learned a lot from her experience with the disease. Patient's needs were my first concern. Always putting the patient first and allowing the patient to have an input on what they were feeling up to doing.

I am a 57 year old very active mother-of-six. I have 19 grandchildren in which I am very proud of. I moved here recently from Little Rock Arkansas after retiring and after caring for my brother who passed December 11th of 2018. I enjoy being with people, especially individuals that I feel like that I can provide assistance to. Probably somewhat uncommon, I like to clean, cook, etc. I enjoy working in the yard, gardening, I enjoy doing puzzles, playing cards, just staying active.
I am ambitious , helpful, caring. I put the patients needs as first priority. I have a disabled granddaughter and i tend to take care of her from time to time. I love helping people in need. I must enjoy the personal satisfaction of seeing a person in need happy. I just recently completed school and received my Associate degree.
What makes me a good caregiver, first I was trained by an excellent company (HomeInstead). They were very thorough, and knew the employees. I helped care for my grandfather before he died in 1976, after leaving New Orleans, Louisiana after Hurricane Katrina.

I'm a great caregiver because I love to help and assist others who are unabled to help themselves. I have 8 plus years experience caregiving for the developmentally disabled as well as caring for seniors living in assisted living in a residential home. The reason why I've been in this field for as long as I have is because I strongly feel that we've all been placed on this earth to love and help one another. My goal is to make sure that these individuals get the respect, compassion and best quality care that they deserve
