I am a fun-loving outgoing upbeat person that believes in being positive. I've been a caregiver for 20 years I have always enjoyed helping people making them smile helping them to achieve things that they didn't think they could. My biggest accomplishment was working with a stroke patient who could not walk and could not get out of the bed. With patience and persistence, less than a year my patient was up out of bed walking without a cane or a walker. It was great to see her being able to help herself again.
My goal is to restore dignity, happiness, and quality of life during those difficult and cloudy moments. Seeing a genuine smile of content and relief can be fulfilling. I'm driven by empathy and a good heart. I stumbled into caregiving by accident, several years ago, but it has become one of my passions since. My hourly rate is negotiable.

As a very nurturing person I believe in treating and caring for others in a way of dignity and respect. I made the choice to become a CNA after assisting with the care of my dying father and brother. I always try to empathize with my client and their situation because I know how I felt while taking care of my own family members. In the midst of a decline or change a person's feelings can fluctuate at any given moment; I want to be present to help the family and their loved one to the best of my ability. I enjoy working with the elderly because I can learn and grow from listening to them. Our elders are walking and talking history that we can tap into their wisdom. Some of my previous clients were 100 plus years old with such fantastic stories and experiences. I'm most proud of myself for being a strong and educated single mother who has made it through a lot of tough times; but carried myself with pride confidence and dignity with a smile on my face as well as in my heart.
I am honest, kind, trustworthy, and patient with my clients I was attracted to being a care giver after helping my veteran neighbor with hip surgery I take pride when their daily needs are met One of my personal achievements was when i was able to tell immediately my client was having signs of stroke and was helped before family members got there. And her life was saved.
Ive been a caregiver for about 10 years. 5 years certified. When I got started in this field it was out of necessity. My grandmother had a stroke and i had no choice. I didn't even want to be a caregiver. After about a year my grandmother passed away. But the feeling that i got from being able to care for her like she cared for me was indescribable. First time I felt i had contributed something; actually helped somebody. Like I made a difference, like i made her last days better. 10 years later I cant picture myself doing anything else. I love what I do. And everytime I help a client or they smile and say thank you its like helping my grandmother all over again.
In home care is good place to give my full attention and the best care without interruption with other patients. I am certified medication aid, so I would like to assist my patients with administration of their drugs. More than 9 years, in giving with spiritual care (as chaplain with Baptist background) and in their physical and social care, as nursing assistance. I understand the patients and their needs. I give priority to their safety and hygiene, and then neatness of their rooms, keeping their schedule of feeding, of sleeping, and of medicine . I love to make them comfortable and satisfied. I don't mind to take extra mile in discussion with the family members. I am flexible for the healing and comfort of the patient. People deserve to be cared as God loved us and enjoy every min of their life time. I work hard to make them comfortable physically, emotionally and psychologically. So I focus on their physical needs. People are different so first of all I want to understand them, then I give the care in discussion and understanding their needs.
My honesty, hardworking, caring and empathetic make me a great caregiver. I am a people person that lives to take care of. I enjoy bonding with the patient and their family as if they were my own. A personal achievement that I am proud of is hearing my client say "Thank you" sincerely with a smile on their face.
The elderly has a wealth of knowledge that they love to share about life and their experiences. I enjoy their appreciation for you being their caregiver and they seem so grateful. I treat them the same way I would like to be treated and the way I would like my mother to be treated if she needed care.
