I became a Certified Nurse Assistant a year ago. After taking care of older family members, I found a great desire to help other older adults that may have a disability or impediment due to age. I like to see the smile on the people I take care after knowing that there is someone they can count on for help with daily activities that they could not accomplish before, and that they can continue living in their home. In the present, I take care of an older couple in their 90s. Every morning, they expect me, and they keep saying I don't know what we would do without you. It is very rewarding to be able to help someone in a caring way. I am a mother of 3 children, and 2 dogs. I have being married for 13 years now. Since I became a certified nurse assistant, I realized that I have a great inclination towards the healthcare industry, so I decided to become a nurse. Currently, I am enroll in school taking the basic nursing classes. I expect to graduate in 1 to 2 years.
