About Elizabeth

Beth Manautou is a wife and the mother of two grown boys. While in college, she worked as a CNA with Georgia Nursing Services, and when her boys were young, she was a medical assistant in an Endodontist office. She left the medical industry when her boys became old enough for school and came home to homeschool them. For over a decade, she has taught writing and 10th grade through the school Classical Conversations. This past year she retired from teaching and is currently working on finishing her degree as a nurse at Gordon College. She writes: After homeschooling our two boys through high school and teaching at the local school, I'm now looking to pick up some part time work helping others. I have always enjoyed getting to know the unique side of a person and enjoy serving others. People say that I have a very calm nature and that I'm very easy to talk to. I enjoy reading, watercolor, and learning new things. I am usually able to intuit what is needed and look for ways to help. Sometimes that just means being quiet. Worked on a collaborative team with 5 women that organized the overall development and vision for the Gathering which is a local community event that reaches 100s of women throughout the year. Personal responsibilities included handling the event theme and managing a team to carry out the ideas. As speakers were brought in, it was my responsibility to take care of them personally and to be with them looking out for them. When speakers had book signing events, it was my responsibility to manage that part of the night.
