In 1994 I was diagnosed with Guillain Barre Syndrome. It is a disease that paralyzed me and shut down everything to where I was on life support. I had to communicate through my eyes only. It was then I decided I wanted to work in medical field. I can relate to some clients as far as losing independence and having to rely on strangers to help you. I make it a point to treat every client in my care as if they were one of my family members. I've been told that I have a kind heart and there is a certain satisfaction I get from helping people , even if its the smallest task.
