About Angelica

Hello, my name is Angelica. I've been someone who goes above and beyond for people for as long as I've been able to. I have a kind spirit and making sure people are cared for properly has always been my main focus. It wasnt until highschool that I knew how to get started in a career that allowed me to do that. I've been a volunteer caregiver since 2019 and became certified and paid to do it starting December of 2020. Being as young as I am; I always had little nagging feelings about whether or not I was making an impact in patient's lives. It wasn't until I looked back at all the families I've cared for, as well as started working in a rehab facility, that I realized how much help I provide. I've had patients become emotional and show how grateful they are that I'm able to be so kind, patient, gentle, and humane all while making sure they are being taken care of fully. I believe that to be the thing I enjoy most about myself as a caregiver. It isn't "just a job," it's taking the time to help people who need it and treating them as the worthy people they are. It's also an achievement for me to remain this caring, disciplined person I've always been. Why I'm a good candidate for your family? I am the definition of dependable and responsible. Families and Providers trust me, because they know I am capable, passionate, and worthy of the task. Most people love for me to be around to keep things tidy, because i am excited when i see messes. I'd love the opportunity to work with you, and be able to add light to some of these dimmer days. I do want to mention I have been fully vaccinated since May of 2021. !!!!!!!PLEASE NOTE!!!!!!!!! : I also want to let you know that i currently do not drive, but have no issues getting to work ever. I'm very patient, caring, dependable and responsible with over 25 years experience, Carelinx is part time now as I am a full-time CPA for Home Instead Senior Care. I began caregiving as a child. Growing up my mother was very sick and in and out of the hospital. She struggled with COPD, Cancer, and a number of other illnesses. She passed away when I was a young woman. When I was in my early 20s I worked at a personal care home with about 15 residents. I was the only caregiver on duty most of the time. I gained a lot of experience working with Alzheimer's, stroke, and diabetics during that time. Afterwards I began working with a quadriplegic. I gained a lot of experience working with hoyers, lifts, special vehicles that have belts, and lifts for electrical wheel chairs, etc. At that time I also became familiar with bowel treatment and care for urine bags, etc. After my patient moved to another state I began to care for a retired military gentleman with whom I worked with for almost 12 years. He passed away in July of 2018. I took a long break from caring for people after he passed. I enjoy helping people. I genuinely care for and about people. It has always been rewarding for me. It helps me to feel good about who I am, knowing that I've actually made someone else's life better.
