I became a caregiver because of my mother, At the age of 10 my mother died and I couldn't do nothing to help her. So I decided to get in the medical field for that reason. I love being a caregiver because it is a passion of mine to see people smile, and live there life to the fullest. Some of my achievements are attending school for certification, and also I am now enrolled in school for Health Information Systems and Business Administration. I chose this field because I want to make sure the patients get the treatment, respect, and etc they deserve. I want to see people that take care of these patients act professionally, and treat the patients like the way they (caregivers) would want to be treated. I deliver direct personal care supporting the families of an elderly individuals. Responsible for a plethora of duties ranging from scheduling appointments for medical care, ensuring attendance to extra-curricular activities, and aiding in the completion of household errands and maintenance of both properties.I enjoy working with people and most enjoy jobs where I can have one-on-one interaction with others putting a smile on there face knowing I have achieve a goal of happiness, love, and trustworthy. Care giving has been my passion since I helped care for my father who suffered with congestive heart failure & diabetes. The last senior I cared for told me that I was one of the kindest people he had ever met. The elderly has a wealth of knowledge that they love to share about life and their experiences. I treat them the same way I would like to be treated and the way I would like my family members to be treated if needed care. As one of the noblest professions, a caregiver has much to offer in terms of compassion and care.
