What makes me a great caregiver is that I'm a caring loving person and I care about my clients/residents and how they feel, I'm a very understanding person, working as a caregiver I consider it my calling not just a job ,I become a caregiver due to being encouraged by my grandmother who is no longer with me, giving her the best care in her last moments and hearing her say you will make a good nurse someday really encouraged me to get in this field, It became a part of me and every person I care for I remember what my granny said to me, So I do it to the best of my ability and each person I touch I try to make a difference in their lives, what I like about being a caregiver is comforting my clients,making them feel safe and secure being there for them just listening to them,understanding their needs ,comforting them and knowing I'm making a difference in their lives.My Personal Achievement is I'm proud I can make someone mom or dad smile and to hear that I'm doing a great d job with their family member,and being able to make a difference is what makes the difference ... more
