Hi my name is Debra and I have been a caregiver for 9 years. And the reason why I continue this career is I love helping people and to see their condition improve. Especially working with the Geriatric. I love to hear their life stories. And I care about these patients. Also, their families know they can trust me with a family member. My personal achievement: I am most proud of is when my assignment is completed we are sad to part and I know have done a good job and to also, receive a great letter of recommendation. Infact I have a couple of letters from past clients. My personalijty traits: I am easy going and I prefer to cater to my client and to make sure they have all that they need while I am on duty with them. And to make sure that their family does not have to worry about anything while they are in my care. Or shift.

I have been a certified Medical Assistant for over eight years. Therefor my scope is wider then a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). I have many years of work experience working with Geriatric population. My certification and BLS CPR are current. I am available for evening care and weekends.

I'm a great caregiver because I'm passionate about helping others! I began taking care of my Disabled Mother when she was diagnosed with Dementia. I was also taking care of a good friend of mine.

I've been working with elderly community since the early part of my nursing career back in 1992. I have worked in multiple nursing homes with years of LVN experiences. Patience and compassion are the traits that I can say I developed working as a nurse for older people. Respect for elderly is instilled by my parents in me since I was young.

I became a caregiver because of my Mother she had became ill and I wanted to care for her but because I was not experienced in the health field she wanted some one who was in the health care field, so she had to go to the hospital and when I went to visit her I seen that she was in pain and uncomfortable in the hospital bed, and I tried to help her but did not know how too, and that made me very angry, so I decided to take a class in nursing Assistant and Home Health, but by the time I was finished with the course my Mother passed away. which helped me to see that their are others that need help in their homes and in nursing homes and I wanted do it for my mother to care to those in need and, I love caring for others, and I know my Mother is smiling down on me every time I make a difference in helping someone to live their life as much as possible. My greatest achievement is when making life better for others, like I met a lady who had had a stroke and her husband was caring for her and she was having problems with her hands stiffening up so I made her a home made device to help her be able to open and close her hand for exercise, so she could regain her strength in her hands and move her fingers. It was just rolled up towels but it helped her and made a difference and she was so pleased and so was I.

I have been in the medical field for 10 years. I started as a caregiver in 2010, because I enjoy helping others especially the elderly. In 2012 I decided to go to school to become a Medical Assistant, I completed my Medical Assistant course with high honors. I have been doing both Medical Assistant and Caregiving for the last 8 years and I wouldn't have it any other way, I love what I do and I love the quality time that I'm able to spend with each of my clients.

I am empathetic,passionate, positive,honest, respectful, detail oriented, flexible, teachable, cooperative, willing to set boundaries, humorous, assertive & patience. I have open availability. Willing to work flexible hours. I have been a care giver for about 4 years now. I have always had a heart for caring for people. I was a facility manager for a long term nursing home for the developmentally disabled of all ages. I plan to maintain a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment which facilitates the development of self help skills among individuals. I will provide the appropriate support tailored to the needs and desires of each client to enable each to live as independently as possible. I am currently a Manager at a Vascular Surgical canter and I also help in recovery as a C.N.A post recovery. I have worked in a nursing home when I first entered the medical field, studied medical terminology, worked as a Lead Supervisor in an orthopedic surgical center for total joints. I am also a mother and I have been blessed with a gift to always help others. I love what I do, it's not a job it's a God given gift to be able to help those in need. Sometimes the companionship makes a huge difference in people lives. My ability to help others and also be able to provide for my family is why I do what I do. I treat every patient as I would want my own parents to be treated. I am also certified and up to date with my BLS (Basic Life Support License) CPR & AED certified.
